I couldn’t be happier with the way Kjerstin and Matt’s snowy Minnesota wedding photographs turned out.  It snowed in the perfect way, on the perfect day this year – just in time for us to capture some incredible photographs of Kjerstin  & Matt on their wedding day.  Falling snow is so fun to work with, and this happy couple was willing to brave the cold and step outside with me for some amazing bride and groom wedding photographs.  We walked around outside their ceremony site on the campus of Northwestern College in Roseville, Minnesota.  Interestingly,  Kjerstin and Matt’s wedding reception was to be the first time the college had ever allowed a dance on their campus, so Kjerstin and Matt lucked out in all sorts of ways on their wedding day!

Minnesota had ONE day of snow this winter before Liz and I left for Hawaii in the middle of January.  And on that one day happened to fall Kjerstin and Matthew’s wedding.  Some people might call this irony, but I call it an AMAZING WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY OPPORTUNITY!  These wedding photographs are definitely one-of-a-kind now.  The falling snow added a new dimension and a touch of magnificence to each photograph.  Kjerstin and Matt braved the cold and went outside with me to play in the fresh snow that lightly blanketed a frozen lake near their wedding ceremony site.  The huge snowflakes look almost like fake movie set snow in these photographs… It was almost too perfect.

Snowy MN Wedding Photographs

Ashley & Joe’s wedding was one of the first weddings I shot back at home this spring after spending the winter in Hawaii. It was another rainy spring day, and Ashley and Joe made the best of it, posing for their wedding photography underneath umbrellas and dancing through the rain. The drizzle didn’t phase them one bit. They were both so incredibly happy to be getting married! Their joy shows in these wedding photos. Ashley and Joe, I am absolutely honored to have done your MN wedding photography. Here’s another example of how bad weather can equal great MN wedding photography. Louise and Matt’s wedding day was dark and drizzly. But because of this, the lighting was perfect! We were able to use beautiful natural light for all of the outdoor shots, and we even took a few with the wedding party under umbrellas, which always makes for fun and interesting wedding photography.
