A CardNole Love | Taara and Glenn’s McNamara Wedding

Glenn kissing Taara on her forehead

We are obsessed with every aspect of this wedding. Taara and Glenn sported super classic looks, Glenn in a black suit and Taara wearing a ball gown style dress with a gorgeous lace neckline. Many of their wedding details referenced “A CardNole Love,” a nod to their college football teams, Taara’s Stanford Cardinals and Glenn’s Florida State Seminoles. They even wore shoes repping their respective teams to their reception!

Taara got ready at Hotel Ivy, with her makeup done by the fabulous Mia from WarPaint International. This luxury hotel is the perfect site for bridal portraits and wedding party photos, with plenty of shimmering backdrops and an impeccably lit skyway.

Forgoing a first look, Taara and Glenn were both ecstatic when Taara came down the aisle, having a quick ceremony before darting outside to spend some time alone after their ceremony. Their venue, the McNamara Alumni Center, sits on a manicured lawn that makes you forget you’re in the middle of Stadium Village, even with a Minnesota United game happening just across the street. The venue also features high, geometric windows, which let ample sunlight in throughout the evening, which shone off of their gold-accented ceremony and reception.

The McNamara Alumni Center is even cooler when you look up, with their geometric windows and rows of office. Check out that shot of Taara and Glenn high above their wedding guests towards the end of the post!

Taara and Glenn’s wedding was beautiful in so many ways. It was emotional, all of the details worked together perfectly, and Taara and Glenn are just so much fun. Thank you to this incredible couple for an incredible day!

A Sweet Romance | Karen & Matthew

Karen and Matthew smiling at each other
Matthew and Karen chose a classic Minneapolis destination for their engagement photos, strolling through St. Anthony Main and ending their session on the Stone Arch Bridge with what seemed like the entire city’s population out on a sunny night.

Karen’s smile when she’s with Matthew is a testament to the spark that these two share. After meeting on Tinder, the two went to Cafe Latte for their first date, and the rest was history. They even buy the same desserts that they had on their first date for anniversaries and special occasions, which is just the sweetest.

Both Matthew and Karen work with vulnerable populations, Matthew the owner of a company that uses technology to improve care for all, and Karen an elementary school teacher. They are extremely kind, caring individuals, and you can see this reflected in their love for one another and how they move through the world.  Karen and Matthew’s fall wedding is coming up fast and we can’t wait for a whole day with these two!

Love at Lake of the Isles | Sruti & Ethan

Engagement at Lake of the Isles

Ethan and Sruti are a fun-loving duo, so it only makes sense that they first met at a game night. However, what Ethan describes as “love at first sight,” Sruti remembers as him spending the entire evening in a different room from her playing Settlers of Catan.

Despite their perhaps less-than-romantic first meeting, Ethan planned out an elaborate scavenger hunt when proposing to Sruti. After a “cancelled” date, Sruti followed a series of clues that included several pit stops with snacks and gifts before she found her soon-to-be fiancé stationed at a lighthouse over the ocean.  Sruti had a feeling that she was being proposed to, and once Ethan was on one knee she blurted out “YES!” before he finished getting the question out.

These two are incredibly passionate about each other and about their work. Both working in the medical field, they are deeply invested in providing care for HIV-positive individuals and undocumented persons, as well as international health care.

Sruti and Ethan, we are so in awe of you two as individuals and a pair! Your wedding day can’t come soon enough.
