Minneapolis Spring Wedding Photography – Cara & Josh

When you think of the perfect place to have a wedding ceremony, a cemetery hardly seems like a fitting choice. But that didn’t keep newlyweds Cara and Josh from holding their wedding in the Lakewood Memorial Chapel in Lakewood Cemetery.

Josh, who took leave from his military service to marry beautiful bride Cara, was all smiles as he and his new bride exchanged vows in front of friends and family. The ceremony was accented with purple orchids, which matched the vibrant colors in the chapel’s arching ceiling.

The newlyweds celebrated with friends and family at the FIVE Event Center, where guests got to direct their own photo shoots with our brand new ANTIBOOTH Photo Station!

Cara and Josh took advantage of this great new package that allows guests to take pictures using props in front of a backdrop (a modern twist on the classic photobooth). Guests instantly receive 4×6 archive-quality prints taken from the ANTIBOOTH station, which they can take home as a happy memento from a beautiful wedding day. This package comes with an unlimited amount of printed photos, so the possibilities for fun and creativity are endless!

Mankato, MN Wedding Photographs – Kate & Mike

Kate and Mike started off the day getting ready with friends and family at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN.  Their wedding ceremony was held in the campus’ Christ Chapel, a brilliant, dramatic structure that was a gift to Gustavus in 1962 from the congregations of the Augustana Lutheran Church.  Kate and Mike’s beautiful wedding service ended in a shower of bubbles as they exited the chapel, and after a stop at Patrick’s for a celebratory drink with the wedding party, the newlyweds headed to the Verizon Wireless Center for more fun at their wedding reception.  While we were taking family wedding photos, we had a surprise visit from the couple’s pup, who proudly donned a tuxedo for the occasion!  How dapper is he??

Engagement Photos at Lake of the Isles | Brittany & Michael

Lake of the Isles – or just simply “Isles”, as it is known to locals – is one of the prettiest lakes in Minneapolis.  That’s probably the reason Brittany and Mike chose to have their engagement photos taken there.  We had a lovely stroll around the lake, stopping from time to time to take some pictures on a bridge, or a park bench, or in a boat, or in the water!  We had such a great time, and I am so blessed to be shooting this couple’s wedding.  They really love each other and know how to laugh together.  Thanks for a wonderful day, Brittany & Mike!  Oh, one more thing….  As I do after most engagement photo sessions, I designed a Save the Date card for Brittany and Mike to send out to their guests.  Take a look!

Stone Arch Bridge Engagement Photographs – Rachael & Daniel

Rachael and Daniel are getting married this fall, and I had the pleasure to take their photographs at the Minneapolis Stone Arch Bridge.  We had a nice relaxing engagement photo shoot, and Rachael and Daniel laughed when I asked them to get in the Mississippi river, but they both rolled up their pant legs, kicked off their shoes, and did it anyway. Good thing, too – we got some great shots!
