Barbara and John’s Milwaukee Wedding Photos

For Barbara and John’s winter wedding, I got to fly my plane from Minneapolis to Milwaukee on a beautiful January day, where I saw some great parts of the city!  We started the day with photos of the bridal party having fun together as they got styled and ready at Glow Salon & Spa.  Then, we spent time in the cold, where I got some great shots of the happy couple outside the Milwaukee Art Museum.  The architecture of the museum was amazing and certainly made for an impressive backdrop!

The wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center, an elegant building that was constructed in the late 1920’s.  This place had some great vintage detailing and the spiraling staircases allowed for some really captivating shots of the newlyweds.

My plane, my camera and I were happy to have made the trip to Milwaukee to be a part of Barbara and John’s wedding day!

Wedding Photos at the St. Paul Cathedral – Kristen & Dustin

If you’ve ever thought about getting married at the St. Paul Cathedral, I can tell you, it’s quite the experience.  With it’s towering stone walls, ornate domed ceilings, stupidly tall wood-carved doors, and seating room for 3,000, the cathedral – one of Minnesota’s oldest – sets an impressive tone for any event.  Kristen and Dustin chose to have their wedding ceremony in the main chapel, beneath natural light filtering in through the cathedral’s ancient skylights.  The couple went the traditional route, and didn’t see each other before the ceremony.  Being that it’s the middle of winter, this meant that all the bride and groom photos were taken after dark.  We got some wonderful shots on a starlit skating rink, and some with a backdrop of Christmas light littered trees.  The whole experience made for some fun and unique wedding photographs in St. Paul!
