An Indian Wedding in Minneapolis | Day 2: Mehndi

Day number two of this three day long Indian wedding that I photographed in Minneapolis consisted of the Mehndi celebration.  Bride and groom Rosina and Matt were dressed in traditional clothing, and both of their families came together for a huge feast and festive celebration.  A relative’s warehouse was decorated with elaborately colorful drapes, lanterns, props and ornamental furniture provided by Caidal Events, who flew in all the way from Miami just for this wedding.   A beautiful feast was catered by Jay Mariadoss and featured plenty of traditional Indian and Indian fusion dishes.

After the bride and groom’s grand entrance, they were seated, and a choreographed dance performance was put on by Rosina’s family members.  Afterwards, the dance floor opened up for everyone, and the guests showered Rosina and Matt with money as a traditional symbol for wishing them prosperity in their marriage.

MN Wedding Photography – Cali & Dan

Cali and Dan were such a sweet couple.  Really, these guys are just the nicest people.  Photographing their wedding was like a breath of fresh air.  It was so good to see the joy that was shared by both of their families.  That’s one of the things I love the most about doing MN wedding photography; it’s like going to a party every weekend with the friendliest people in the world.  Thanks for choosing me to be your Minnesota wedding photographer, Cali and Dan!  It was a real treat. Enjoy the photos!

Minneapolis, MN Wedding Photography – Jessi & Matt

getting ready wedding photographyI love urban weddings. Shooting fantastic MN wedding photography in downtown Minneapolis is always exciting because the photos turn out so bright and industrial. As Jessi and Matt’s Minneapolis wedding photographer, I got some great group photos on the Stone Arch Bridge. Their wedding ceremony  took place right downtown in a park on the Mississippi River. MN Engagement Photography – Jessie and Matt
