To everyone who has been asking to see pictures of our new dog ECO, you can stop asking now because I am posting pictures of him!

Annie and I adopted Eco from a program called UnderDog Rescue. He was a stray and taken by Minneapolis animal control about 6 weeks ago. UnderDog Rescue quickly took him from animal control before he was euthanized and put him with a foster family where he was nursed back to health. He was extremely thin, had frostbite on this snout and had a pretty bad infection, and showed all the signs of abandonment and abuse. Finally! A Relaxing Destination Wedding

Congratulations Tadd and Maggie on your BEAUTIFUL WEDDING!!!

I forgot what a treat it was to attend a wedding and NOT have the stress of being the hired wedding photographer.
My cousin-in-law was married at the Ana y José Beach Club in Tulum Mexico. This happens to be the first beach wedding I have ever attended, although I am sure it will not be the last! This wedding was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. It was also a WONDERFUL escape from the arctic winter here in Minneapolis St. Paul, Minnesota.

I didn’t think it would be so soon that my little sister would be getting married! I even approve of your soon to be husband, Tyler. Even though you did somehow keep him from meeting Mom for 2 years after you started dating! Impressive…

I thought I should put up those engagement pictures we took Downtown Minneapolis and by the Stone Arch Bridge. The engagement pictures turned out GREAT! I can’t wait for the actual wedding, Its going to be fantastic!

The day the 35W Bridge Collapsed!

This is an interesting Engagement Photography Story… I took Christal and Eric’s engagement pictures AFTER they were married due to scheduling conflicts by both of us, and because they booked me as their wedding photographer very close to their awesome wedding date of 7/7/07. I took them to one of my favorite places, a section of rail road tacks in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. It is a very busy section of track where it is rare if a train is not seen every 15 minutes or so. Moving trains and train tracks almost always make a good backdrop for Engagement Pictures. Take a look at Adiel and Tiffany’s Engagement Pictures at the rail road tracks in Stillwater, Minnesota.

The 35W Bridge Collapse here in Minneapolis, Minnesota was international news! I drove over the bridge 30 minutes before it collapsed. I was taking Engagement Pictures of Christal and Eric at the time of the collapse. They went over the bridge 15 minutes before it fell. Kinda freaky considering we rescheduled the engagement pictures at the last minute, which made us barely escape making that number 17 dead.

I was able to take the picture above the same night of the collapse. I couldn’t get any closer or take any more detailed pictures with the security guards everywhere. Trust me, I almost got arrested trying! [Read more →]

Who said Engagement Pictures have to be formal and fancy?! I say, have fun and show off who you really are! I took these engagement pictures at some Rail Road Tracks on the St. Croix River in Stillwater, Minnesota.
