This is why the Stone Arch Bridge area is the best place in Minnesota for engagement pictures…. Especially when you have them done by the best photographer in Minnesota! There is SO much to see and do in this area that there are virtually limitless options for photos and creativity. Clare and Brent came with me to a signature engagement photo destination under the Stone Arch Bridge. This location is becoming increasingly popular with clients because of the incredible view of the Minneapolis skyline and rustic natural backdrops below the bridge. Claire and Brent meandered down railroad tracks and skipped stones in the river for some awesome engagement pictures.

Nick and Katie were so easy work with. They were bright, upbeat, and willing to go the extra mile to have a good time (and a great photo shoot!) The proof is in the pudding, errr… I mean pictures! We rented a horse drawn carriage to ride around Minneapolis and get some fun and unique pictures. These two couldn’t have picked a better time of day for this photo session. Under the setting sun, Nick and Katie played in a field of cottony dandelions for some amazing silhouette pictures at the end of their carriage ride.

Sarah and James joined me for a fun and energetic photo session at the Stone Arch Bridge near downtown Minneapolis. This is one of my favorite locations to take pictures because of the huge variety of scenery. Here, engagement photos can have a backdrop of a beautiful city skyline, lush forest, grassy parks, boardwalk paths, babbling brooks, or an old fashioned stone bridge cutting through the Mississippi, all in one location! Sarah and James had a great time wading through the water and climbing up rock ledges while we found the perfect places to shoot. They were naturals in front of the camera, and the pictures are proof in themselves of all the fun they had.

These engagement photos were taken on Kamaoel Beach in Kihei, Hawaii on the island of Maui. Jennifer and Jin were a blast to work with and were truly naturals around the camera. They had a great time strolling along the beach and splashing through the surf. At one point Jin almost threw his fiancee into the ocean! It was so great to meet this fun loving pair and a joy to shoot their wedding photos as well. I will be back to Hawaii soon to make more use of its excellent scenery.

These engagement pictures were taken on the beautiful island of Maui. It’s no surprise that this session was laid back, Hawaiian style, with perfect weather and a gorgeous mountain backdrop. Adrienne and Josh strolled along the beach and splashed in the ocean to make for some cool photo ops. I had a great time with them and will definitely enjoy returning to tropical paradise to shoot their wedding pictures this summer!

I had a great time taking engagement pictures with Kathryn and Ryan in Stillwater. Weather was perfect and both Kathryn and Ryan were brave enough to walk out on the Arcola train bridge for some fantastic pictures! Its difficult to grasp how high up we were for some of those pictures on the RR Tracks!

I took Laura and Nick’s engagement pictures at the Minnehaha dog park in Minneapolis. This way Laura and Nick were able to include their new Bernese mountain dog puppy, Windsor, in their engagement pictures. We had a great time, the leaves and weather were absolutely beautiful!
