A Trip to Minnesota’s North Shore With a Holocaust Survivor and His Wife

Our first stop was Duluth.  We toured the Glensheen Mansion and Duluth’s Canal Park before staying at the charming A.G. Thomson House.  This Historic Bed and Breakfast is nestled high above Lake Superior in Duluth’s Historic Congdon Mansion District.  I highly recommend the A.G Thomson house if you are planning to stay in Duluth, everything from the décor to service was exceptional.

On our way to and from Grand Marais we stopped, and of course took pictures at, Gooseberry Falls State Park, Split Rock Lighthouse State Park, Cascade River State Park and Carlton Peak.

Even with all this hiking, Annie and I were never able to wear Yosi and Tamar out!  Even when we hiked for 6 hrs a day!

Yosi and Tamar are really great to travel with!  We learned a lot from them about the holocaust, AND what it’s like to be madly in love after so many years of marriage!
